8 weeks. 189 participants. Oura Ring biometrics. Validated surveys.
No hype — just the data.
Sleep was the headline — confirmed both by how participants felt and by what their Oura Rings recorded every night.
The Oura Ring tracked sleep all night without knowing which beverage each participant drank. In the Everyday Dose group, it recorded the two strongest biometric signals of the entire study: significantly better sleep efficiency and significantly less time lying awake. Neither the regular coffee nor the decaf group showed these changes.
By Week 8, Everyday Dose participants reported significantly more refreshing sleep. Notably, there was no change at Week 4 — the improvement only appeared in the second half, consistent with how adaptogenic ingredients like lion's mane work through gradual, cumulative effects.
~50mg caffeine — roughly half of regular coffee — paired with L-theanine promotes calm, focused alertness. Fatigue trended lower in the Everyday Dose group, and multiple participants independently reported smoother, less jittery energy without being asked.
Multiple participants spontaneously reported improved GI comfort — fewer IBS-like symptoms, less stomach irritation, more regular digestion. These weren't captured in group averages, suggesting a strong individual responder effect in people with GI sensitivity to conventional coffee.
Participants were randomly assigned — no self-selection. Here's how every tracked outcome played out.
| Outcome | Everyday Dose | Regular Coffee | Decaf |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sleep refreshingness (survey) | ✓ Improved* | No change | No change |
| Sleep efficiency (Oura Ring) | ✓ Improved** | No change | No change |
| Time awake at night (Oura Ring) | ✓ Improved** | No change | No change |
| Fatigue (survey) | ↑ Trending | No change | ✓ Improved* |
| Mood / depression (survey) | ↑ Trending | No change | No change |
| GI comfort | Positive reports | No change | No change |
| Deep sleep (Oura Ring) | No change | No change | ↓ Declined* |
| REM sleep (Oura Ring) | No change | No change | ↓ Declined* |
| Anxiety (survey) | No change | No change | No change |
* p < 0.05 within-group (paired t-test) · ** p < 0.01 · Between-group ANOVA did not reach significance for most PRO measures, consistent with a healthy-population floor effect.
Dual confirmation — self-reported feeling plus objective biometric data — is rare and meaningful in clinical research.
Lion's mane and adaptogens don't act like caffeine. They work gradually — supporting neuroplasticity and calming the HPA axis over weeks. No change at Week 4, meaningful improvement by Week 8 — this aligns precisely with the hypothesized mechanism.
That's what makes objective data valuable. The Oura Ring recorded that Everyday Dose participants spent 7.7 fewer minutes awake per night with better sleep efficiency — the only group to show significant wearable improvement.
The decaf group saw less fatigue — possibly from reduced caffeine load. But their deep sleep, REM sleep, and HRV all declined significantly. Cutting caffeine disrupted sleep architecture. Everyday Dose improved it.

More energetic and easier to concentrate.
Energy & FocusI felt more calm after drinking — not jittery like I do with other forms of caffeine. My GI health was better. I tend to have IBS symptoms and felt these were better when consuming the product.
Calm Energy + GIMy stomach issues became less noticeable and my bowel movements became more regular.
GI RegularityAlert. No stomach pain with gastritis.
Stomach ComfortI had more energy throughout the day. My appetite was curbed and I had less sugar cravings.
Energy & AppetiteBM's were good! Deep sleep was also good.
Sleep & DigestionA randomized controlled trial is the gold standard for proving whether something works. Here's what made this one credible.
Participants were randomly assigned — not self-selected. Eliminates selection bias and makes the groups genuinely comparable.
Two real-world comparisons — regular coffee and decaf — rather than a placebo, testing Everyday Dose against actual alternatives.
Oura Ring data collected every night, independently of self-reports. 20K+ daily data points across the study.
