Acceptable Use Policy
1. Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy forms part of our Terms of Service. Research only works when the data is honest and the community is safe, so these rules protect you, other participants, Sponsors and the science.
2. Research integrity: you must not
- give false or misleading information about your identity, age, location, health, medications or eligibility;
- create or use more than one account, or enrol in the same Study more than once;
- fabricate, copy or alter survey responses, diaries, device data or samples, or let anyone else wear your device, complete your tasks or provide your samples;
- use scripts, bots, AI tools or other automated means to complete surveys or tasks on your behalf, unless the Study instructions allow assistive tools you need for accessibility;
- attempt to find out whether you are receiving an active product or placebo, or tamper with product packaging or blinding;
- sell, give away or resell study products, kits or devices;
- enrol in a Study while taking part in another study, where the Consent Form prohibits it.
3. Platform security: you must not
- access or attempt to access accounts, data or systems you are not authorised to access;
- probe, scan or test vulnerabilities, or breach security or authentication (if you believe you have found a vulnerability, please report it to legal@reputable.health);
- introduce malware or interfere with the Platform;
- scrape, harvest or bulk-download data, or reverse engineer, decompile or copy the Platform, except where the law expressly permits.
4. Community conduct: you must not
- harass, threaten, abuse or discriminate against participants or staff;
- post content that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene or that infringes others' rights;
- post other people's personal or health information;
- disclose confidential Study information you are told is confidential;
- post spam, advertising or solicitations, or recruit community members for other studies or businesses;
- post reviews or testimonials about study products without disclosing that you received them through a Study.
5. Commercial use
The Platform is for your personal use as a participant. Business users (for example Sponsors) access our services under separate written agreements.
6. Enforcement
If we reasonably believe you have breached this policy, we may: remove content; withhold or recover compensation obtained through a breach of Section 2; suspend or close your account; exclude your data from analyses where the protocol allows; remove you from a Study where the protocol and Consent Form allow; and report unlawful conduct to authorities. Where reasonable, we will tell you what we believe happened and give you an opportunity to respond before we act, unless doing so would compromise safety, security or an investigation. You may ask us to review a decision by emailing legal@reputable.health. Any action affecting a Study will be taken in line with the Consent Form and research regulations, and does not affect any right you have regarding research injury.
